From the Family Album

The idea for the project appeared after the announcement of mobilization in Russia on 22 September 2022. Comparing the memory lost, forgotten or left by someone in the form of family photo archives and the collective memory of the Second World War, the artist tries to understand how Soviet patterns distorted by modern ideology are manifested in people's thinking now.
The project uses archival photographs from the albums of a family unknown to the author, purchased at a flea market, and old postcards depicting the Kremlin.
